ENGINEERING SERVICE

iOS apps that feel native to the platform not ported onto it

Swift and SwiftUI products built around Apple's conventions — fast launches, real offline behaviour, and a release process that survives App Review.

CAPABILITIES

What we build on iOS

From a first TestFlight build to a mature app with millions of sessions, we work in the idioms Apple engineers expect.

SwiftUI product work

Declarative interfaces with UIKit interop where it still pays, so you get modern code without rewriting what already works.

Offline-first data layers

Core Data or SwiftData with conflict resolution and background sync, so the app stays usable on a bad connection.

Performance and launch time

Instruments-driven work on cold start, scroll hitches, and memory growth, measured against real device baselines.

Privacy and App Review

Privacy manifests, tracking disclosures, and entitlements handled up front so submissions do not stall in review.

Apple ecosystem surfaces

Widgets, App Intents, Live Activities, watchOS companions, and Sign in with Apple built as first-class parts of the product.

On-device intelligence

Core ML and Vision models running locally for latency and privacy, with a server path for the work a phone should not do.

HOW WE ENGAGE

From product idea to the App Store

Four phases that put a build in testers' hands early and keep the release cadence predictable.

01

Product and platform shaping

We agree the core flows, the minimum iOS version, and which Apple surfaces matter, then cut everything that does not serve launch.

02

Architecture and foundations

Module boundaries, navigation, networking, and the persistence layer stood up with tests, so feature work never fights the base.

03

Feature delivery

Weekly TestFlight builds with real feedback loops, instrumented so you can see adoption before committing to more scope.

04

Submission and handover

Store listing, screenshots, privacy answers, and a CI pipeline your team can ship from without us.

USE CASES

Where a dedicated iOS build is the right call

Cross-platform is often the right answer. These are the cases where it is not.

↗

Hardware-heavy products

Camera, LiDAR, HealthKit, CoreMotion, or Bluetooth work where the platform API surface is the product.

↗

Premium consumer apps

Products judged on feel, where 120Hz scrolling, haptics, and transition polish drive retention and reviews.

↗

Regulated and privacy-sensitive apps

Health, finance, and identity products that need on-device processing and a defensible data story.

↗

Rescue and modernisation work

An ageing Objective-C or early-Swift codebase that needs modernising without a year-long freeze on features.

BUSINESS IMPACT

Outcomes product owners track

App quality shows up in store ratings, retention, and how often you can ship.

01

Faster time to first build

A running TestFlight app in weeks, so stakeholder feedback arrives while it is still cheap to act on.

02

Higher store ratings

Crash-free sessions and responsive interfaces are what reviews are actually about, so we treat both as release gates.

03

Predictable releases

Automated signing, builds, and submissions remove the release-day scramble and the single person who can do it.

04

Lower long-run cost

Modular code with real test coverage means the next feature is priced like a feature, not a rewrite.

WHY ZIKOSOFT

Why teams choose us for iOS development

Senior iOS engineers who have shipped, maintained, and rescued apps at scale.

Learn more about us →
✓

Platform-native by default

We follow Apple's conventions rather than porting web patterns onto a phone, because users notice the difference.

✓

Measured, not asserted

Launch time, frame drops, and crash-free rate are tracked from the first build, not investigated after a bad review.

✓

Review-ready from the start

Privacy manifests, permissions copy, and entitlements are part of the plan, so submission is a formality.

✓

Your code, your account

The repository, the signing setup, and the CI pipeline are yours and documented at handover.

FAQ

Questions mobile teams ask us

Practical answers on scope, timelines, and how native iOS work is run.

Should we go native iOS or cross-platform?
If the product leans on platform hardware, needs the highest interaction polish, or is iOS-only for the foreseeable future, native wins. If you need two platforms on one budget with mostly standard interfaces, we will say so and build it in React Native or Flutter instead.
How long does a first release take?
A focused first version typically takes eight to fourteen weeks depending on backend readiness. You see a TestFlight build inside the first month either way.
Which iOS versions do you support?
Usually the current major version and the one before it, which covers the overwhelming majority of active devices. We check your own analytics before fixing the floor.
Can you take over an existing app?
Yes. We start with an audit of the codebase, dependencies, and release process, then propose a sequence that keeps shipping while the foundations are repaired.
Do you handle App Store submission?
We do, including listing copy, screenshots, privacy answers, and the review back-and-forth. The app is published under your developer account, not ours.
